About Hannah Thornton, CSW (She/Her)

Murray Location

Meet Hannah

I’m glad you’re here. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to heal.

I specialize in experiential trauma therapy methods and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and ketamine-assisted therapy. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I believe that genuine healing happens in an environment of support and connection.

Before becoming a Clinical Social Worker (CSW), I was a licensed Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor (ASUDC) and worked in substance use treatment centers. This experience showed me the profound impact of unresolved trauma, deepening my passion for helping clients heal at the root cause. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mind Body Bridging. I also incorporate parts work, which helps clients connect with their inner child, engage in reparenting, and heal from past wounds. Additionally, I provide neuroaffirming diagnostic assessments to help clients better understand themselves and their unique experiences.

Together, we will navigate your unique experiences, fostering a space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. My goal is to support you in cultivating self-compassion, self-awareness, and healthier coping mechanisms as you move toward healing and growth.

In my free time, I enjoy watercoloring, camping, and journaling as ways to unwind and reflect. I look forward to the opportunity to join you on your path to growth and resilience.
